AftERCARE
FIRST 24 HOURS — Leave the wrap alone
1.
Clear wrap - Leave it on until the next morning to protect the tattoo over night. Don’t worry about washing it the first night.
Tattoo Armour - Take the Tattoo Armour off the next morning to give it a wash and to put on another pad.
DAYS 1–14 — Wash twice a day
2.
Clean hands, lukewarm water, Anti-bacterial, fragrance-free soap. Fingertips, not a cloth. Pat dry with paper towel and let it air out a few minutes so that all of the moisture is off.
DAYS 1–14 — Thin layer, that's it
3.
A very thin coat of unscented lotion or ointment after each wash. If it looks shiny or greasy, that's too much — blot it off. Suffocated tattoos heal badly.
Tattoo Armour - Extremely thin layer of whatever ointment you prefer and apply another Tattoo Armour.
WEEKS 1–3 — Don't soak it
4.
Showers are fine. No baths, pools, lakes, ocean, or hot tubs until it's fully closed. Skip anything that'll rub it raw.
THE ITCHY PART — Let it flake off
5.
It will peel and it will itch. Picking or scratching pulls pigment out and that's how you end up needing a touch-up. Tap it through your shirt if you have to.
FOREVER — Sunscreen is the whole game
∞.
Once healed, SPF 30+ any time it's in the sun. Sun fades tattoos faster than anything else, especially color and fine line.
